Wood Pole Climbing and Rescue

Wood pole climbing involves a unique set of hazards due to the specialized equipment and climbing techniques required. Our two-day Pole Climbing and Rescue course introduces students to the regulations, standards, basic concepts, and equipment with respect to pole climbing, with both theoretical and practical components.

Course breakdown

Once they are comfortable ascending, descending, and positioning on wood poles, our students will have the opportunity to practice rescuing a suspended worker from the wood pole using weight transfer and descent control devices.
