Tower Rigging

Our Tower Rigging course educates students on the fundamental principles for safely rigging a telecom tower with the technical components that are required in order to keep our modern world connected.

Course breakdown

We start in the classroom discussing basic concepts such regulations and standards, classifications of equipment, roles and responsibilities of people involved in rigging, rigging plans, etc. Next, we alternate between the classroom and the training environment to teach more advanced principles such as sling angle factor, block angle factor, rigging knots, sling configurations, mechanical advantage, and various hoisting methods ranging from a basic top and heel block configuration to more advanced methods such as the trolley configuration of hoisting.
