This course teaches the most common fall protection methods and applicable governmental standards and regulations. The student will become familiar with the most commonly used methods and tools for protecting workers against fall risks that can occur on wind turbines.
The rescue system covered and the duration of the course depend on the system chosen by the client.
The course can cover rescue systems based on access by rope with descenders and rope clamps (I’D and ASAP from Petzl), or evacuation by controlled rate descent (Derope from Tractel, Milan from Skylotec, LiftEvac from Mitterman) or any other system chosen by the client.

Training leading to the development of the following skills:
Knowledge and understanding of basic fall protection system components used specifically on wind turbines.
Learning rescue techniques appropriate for wind turbine work.
Learning evacuation techniques appropriate for wind turbine work.
Knowledge of rescue system equipment and components.
Understanding how to use anchorage, safety connections, and harnesses adapted for wind turbine work and rescue.
Developing the ability to react appropriately in emergency situations.
Acquiring a method for carrying out a wind turbine evacuation and a rescue in complete safety.
Selecting anchorage and rescue systems that are appropriate for the various fall and victim retrieval possibilities.
